March 2023 winning club projects

We are thrilled to announce that the Sutton Filmmakers Club has selected its next film projects! At our meeting on March 15th, 2023, our members voted on the 11 fantastic film scripts submitted to our club competition, and we are pleased to announce that the winner is “What’s for Dinner” written by Adrian Dean, and the runner-up is “Fragile” written by Liam Fitzpatrick.

  • “What’s for Dinner” is a comedy about an 8-year-old girl who has trouble passing messages between her two overly distracted parents.
  • “Fragile” – A fragile man’s masculinity is threatened when he comes up against a stubborn Peanut Butter Jar that plays by its own rules.

How to get involved

We are now inviting all club members to put themselves forward for the key roles in producing and directing these films. If you are interested in becoming a Producer, Director (applications only until the 28th of April), or taking on any other major role in these productions, please download the scripts and read through them.

There are no dates as yet for filming. But they will almost certainly be at a weekend in May/June. You must be a member to apply.

Once you have familiarised yourself with the stories, please fill in a form to express your interest in one or both of the projects and what role you would like to take on:

We are looking for passionate and dedicated members to help bring these stories to life on screen. These are fantastic opportunities for members of all levels of experience to gain hands-on experience in the film industry, gain IMDB credits and build their portfolios.

We encourage all interested members to step up and take on the challenge. We look forward to receiving your submissions and working together to create two amazing films.
