Scripts Available For Pitching

These are the scripts that are available for Directors to pitch to the club to direct or for producers to put their name forward to produce.

If you would like to produce or direct a script for the Anthology project please complete the form below. At least the Director or Producer must be a full club member to apply.

Pitching to Direct – Structure & Guidelines

We’re excited to move forward with assigning directors for the anthology films! If you’d like to direct a script, you’ll need to prepare a pitch using the structure below.

To keep things fair, organised, and efficient, all pitches must follow the same format. You can choose to pitch live at our next club night or submit a pre-recorded video pitch if you can’t attend in person.

Pitch Structure & Guidelines

1. Introduction (30 seconds – 1 minute)

Your name and background (briefly mention your directing experience, if any).
Why do you want to direct this script? What draws you to the story?

2. Directorial Vision (1-2 minutes)

Tone & Style:
- What genre is this, and how will it feel visually?
- Any inspirations from films or directors?
- Unique stylistic choices (e.g., handheld, colour palette, aspect ratio).
Pacing & Mood:
- How do you want the audience to feel?
- Should it be fast-paced and energetic? Slow and suspenseful?

3. Production Plan (2-3 minutes)

Locations: Any ideas for where this could be filmed?
Casting: Do you have actors in mind, or will you cast from the club?
Crew Needs: Will it need a large or small crew? Any special roles?
Challenges & Solutions: What obstacles do you foresee, and how will you handle them?

4. Closing Statement (30 seconds – 1 minute)

Why are you the right person to direct this film?
What excites you most about bringing it to life?

How to Submit Your Pitch

Live Pitch at Club Night: Join us on Tuesday the 1st of April 2025 to present your pitch in person. You’ll have up to 5 minutes to speak.

Pre-Recorded Video Pitch: If you can’t attend, you may submit a video pitch following the same structure.

• Complete the form below. If you want to send in a video pitch please include the youtube or video link in the additional information field in the form. We have to receive your submission by 30th March.

Important Notes:

If you wrote a script, you are automatically eligible to direct it.
However, if you’ve written multiple scripts, you’ll be guaranteed to direct one of them, and any additional scripts will be open for others to pitch for as well. If no one else applies, you may still direct it.
If multiple people pitch for the same script, we will decide based on experience and vision.
If you’re new to directing, don’t worry! We can pair you with a mentor to support you through the process.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a short film, gain experience, and contribute to our biggest project yet. We can’t wait to see your ideas!
