Alfred Hitchcock was perhaps the greatest cinematic storyteller of the 20th century. His films created a visual language that has influenced virtually every director since. The goal of visual storytelling is to convey complex thoughts and emotions without the use of much dialogue. In this discussion, we will dissect the camera moves, framing and composition of ten famous scenes/films to discover the language of film.
