3 Point Lighting – A practical workshop
Hosted by Peter Leverick – Directed by Cliff Harris.
October 7 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
The Three Point Lighting Technique is a standard method used in visual media such as video, film and still photography.
It is a simple but versatile system which forms the basis of most lighting. Once you understand three point lighting you are well on the way to understanding all lighting.
This week we will be running a live streamed workshop on 3-Pont Lighting presented by Peter Leverick.
Peter will be explaining
- What is 3-point lighting
- Why and when to use it
- Basic lighting equipment required to do it.
A three-point system can be used in a variety of ways to help set a mood of the character. By having bright key light, but minimal fill and back light, this will give the effect of anger, whereas if the scene is very brightly lit with little shadow on the actor, this can make the scene look very happy.
